Yuyo Hues was founded in 2022 by textile artist Evangelina Don as a frame for her plant dye/botanical prints exploration and soft goods small production.  

Evangelina was born and raised in  Argentina and brings with her a sewing tradition,”there was always a sewing machine around and my mom and two grandmas were able to sew their own clothes and to fix them”. She learned to sew at early age sewing dresses for her dolls.

She studied Visuals Arts in College and start to “draw with fabric” in 2005.

since then she’d been exploring the fascinating textile world, and the vast roads to work with.

In 2015 looking for sources to learn about natural dyes, she tipped over a Eco printed fabric and got absolutely amazed, that’s when Evangelina start diving into the natural dyes alchemy and still does.
